Day 1: Arrival at hotel Antigua Venta de San Antonio.
We will visit the village of Casarabonela, one of the most beautiful villages of Sierra de las Nieves and of the province of Malaga. Pretty as a postcard, with its Arab appearance, its all invading Moorish atmosphere and above all the colour and taste of the Andalusian villages, the narrow alleys with quiet squares where time seems to evade all hurry and agitation, the whitest of houses in whose walls you often find the “hornacinas” by which homage is paid to the images of popular devotion.
We will then visit the church of Santiago Apóstol (St. James) where you will also find an interesting burial zone (las catatumbas) and a museum of sacred arts.
We will continue by enjoying a horse show rendered even more beautiful by traditional Spanish music and clothes of old time Andalusia. Later we will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional outdoor buffet of local products in an atmosphere charged with skill, emotion and magic in these surroundings of unsurpassable natural beauty.
On our way back to the hotel we will pass by the Botanic Garden of Cactuses and other Succulents, one of the best collections in Europe housing 11.000 individuals belonging to 45 botanic families and some 2.500 different species.
Once back at the hotel we will begin the workshop where we will be introduced to the principles of therapeutic massage. Each couple will learn basic massage techniques to include in their everyday life, as well as practicing these skills on each other, making this an unforgettable experience.
To end the day the hotel-restaurant Antigua Venta San Antonio will offer us a delicious dinner paired with the best choice of wine in a comfortable and elegant atmosphere which has been achieved over several decades thanks to experience and professionalism. This “cena maridaje” or food and drink pairing dinner consists in the art of combining different dishes and wines with a view to obtaining a synergy of aromas, tastes and even colours. The menu consists of 5 dishes which vary each month in function of the seasonal products of the area and will be the same as the ingredients used in the prestigious “KMO” restaurant run by the gastronomic critic Esperanza Pelaéz. This dinner will consist of 2 tapas, a starter, a fish course, a meat course and a dessert, each of which will be paired with 5 different wines which will make even those with the most demanding of palates reach new heights of appreciation.
Later on we will have a private party where we will enjoy a DJ, karaoke and a free bar.
